What software should be used?

Any professional package that can create the necessary high resolution 300dpi CMYK PDF print ready file with all fonts embedded.

Photos need to be scanned to at least 300dpi in CMYK colour on a quality scanner for best results.

Avoid screen (computer monitor) resolution images and images copied from the internet.

Bleed is the area of a printed poster that will be trimmed off. Some orders are printed on a sheet larger than the finished size will be. Bleed is used where images or colour prints off the edge of the sheet.

SIGNS need to have 10mm of bleed, so a document ends up larger by 20mm in each direction.

The margin is the opposite direction. Keep all ‘live’ material in a suitable distance from edge. Allow for frame width and then a suitable gap between the frame and text, etc.
